How to Become a Lawyer
A lot of people have asked that I teach them how to become a lawyer. Well, I'm no expert on that subject (even though I am technically an attorney), and I'm not really sure why anyone would want to be a lawyer. The article that I've linked to provides a pretty good overview. It's also a good primer on how to become a lawyer without law school. Apparently, seven states still honor legal apprenticeships as a sufficient educational equivalent to law school. It makes perfect sense to me. In fact, I wish I had thought of it before dropping $100k on a legal education . . . but then I would have never met one of my best friends in the world. So, in retrospect, it was worth the money. Jim, is my friendship worth $100k to you? If so, please write me a check for $50,000 and consider it a deal!
